SEI Tackles Water

SEI is addressing water issues affecting California. Take a look at how.

We’re serious about California’s drought:

  • SEI is leading a multi-partner effort to work with 20 local agencies in the San Joaquin Valley to benchmark water efficiency and conservation planning and policies, and to identify relevant local and regional case studies and best practices.  As part of this effort, SEI staff are consulting to public agencies that are facing the most stringent water reduction targets in the state, to help them to set goals and to access the information and tools to implement new water policies and programs across municipal, residential and commercial sectors.
  • SEI has worked with thousands of students in hundreds of schools, engaging students in evaluating, planning, and implementing water and energy conservation activities within their communities. Our Green School Leadership Team model for water and energy conservation campaigns is used in schools across the country.
  • Water curriculum resources, including home and school water assessments, and water units for grades K-1 help train students to be community water educators!
  • SEI offers consulting to water agencies and local governments on strategies, approaches, and resources for complying with State water reduction mandates.
